The Winterport Planning Board meets at the Town Office
on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p. m. Please use the following
information to guide you in submittal of materials for Planning Board
review.
Notice to Prospective Applicants
The materials in the information package you've received
should include the following:
1. Winterport Land Use Ordinance
2. Application Form
To assist you in interpretation of the ordinance requirements
and to answer questions regarding the application process, inquire at
the Town Office to schedule an appointment with the Code Enforcement
Officer. R is strongly recommended that all applicants meet with the
CEO to facilitate efficient processing of your application.
Requests to be placed on the Planning Board Agenda should
be directed to the P. B. Clerk at the Winterport Town Office during
regular business hours. Although by ordinance it is permissible for
applicants to submit preapplication sketch plan applications directly
to the Planning Board at regular meetings, it is strongly recommended
that all materials be submitted at least 15 days in advance of meetings.
For site plan and subdivision applications, 10 copies
of all materials must be submitted to the Clerk at least 15 days prior
to the regular meetings to qualify for acceptance as an agenda item.
Providing these materials in advance will allow the Planning
Board members to become more familiar with your project which provides
an opportunity for expedited review. Providing all required application
materials and the correct number of copies will help avoid delays in
review of your application.
The current fees for planning Board applications are listed
below:
Technical Assistance Fee
The fee will be determined on a case by case basis if
P. B. elects to hire experts to assist in its review. Fees for Subdivision/Site
Plan applications are to be paid at the lime of preapplication submission.
Fees for Shore land Zoning applications are to be paid at time of application
submittal. Technical Assistance Fees may be assessed as needed during
the project review.
